Multan: Local Government & Community Development (LG & CD) Punjab has directed municipal authorities around the province to keep their machinery operational during the monsoon season, a news source reported. They have also been instructed to take emergency measures.
The notification issued by LG&CD also instructed the Chief Officers of Municipal Corporation, District Council and local government officials to inspect the heavy machinery used during monsoon season. The heads of municipal authorities have been instructed to provide certificates that the machinery is being kept functional. The certificates are to be sent to LG&CD head office in Lahore.
