Multan: Postmaster General (PMG) Zulfiqar Husnain has said that Pakistan’s first Amazon Fulfilment and Facilitation Centre (AFFC) would open after Eid-ul-Adha in Multan, according to news sources. The move will help promote local craftsmanship in the international market.

In this regard, the Meetings with the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) was held by the Postmaster General to facilitate the craftsmen in the promotion of their products. Moreover, the official also said that similar AFFCs and warehouses will be opened in other districts of South Punjab including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Sahiwal, and other areas.

Previously, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood had said that Pakistan has been added to Azamon’s approved seller list, a move hailed as a significant step toward expanding exports. In this context, Pakistan Post announced in June that the state-owned postal service has entered into an official delivery partnership with Amazon.
