Multan: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday announced the provincial government’s decision to construct the 500-kanal South Punjab Secretariat on Multan’s Matital Road, a news source reported. The CM was chairing a meeting of the secretaries notified to work in the administrative unit.

According to the details shared, the building will consist of offices for law, home, housing and urban development, education, health, police, forest, wildlife and fisheries, as well as agriculture departments. The design for the new five-storey building has already been approved. Additional establishments planned for the secretariat include residential accommodations, a CM office, and a mosque.

Moreover, the Punjab CM expressed his views on the proposed gymkhana club as well as the Nishtar-I hospital project for the city. He stated that the gymkhana would feature indoor sports facilities, guest rooms, a swimming pool, a shooting club and a riding club.
