Multan: The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has recorded a 75% increase in its annual revenue and recoveries for the (Fiscal Year) FY2019-20 — a news source reported earlier today (July 7). This is the highest increase in revenue that the authority has achieved in its history.

Similarly, the Town Planning Directorate surpassed its budget revenue by 122%. In Budget 2019-20, the Town Planning Directorate had been set the target of collecting PKR 150 million in commercialisation fees; instead, the revenue surpassed that mark with a final collection of PKR 333.46 million.
During FY 2019-20, the MDA collected PKR 46.846 million under the head of building plans; PKR 23.863 million under penalties and fines; PKR 0.396 million under sub-division of plots; PKR 1.036 million for no-objection certificates; PKR 0.865 under clearance certificates; and PKR 0.419 million under combination/de-combination fee. These figures are all the highest ever collections made by the development authority in its history.
