Multan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aamir Khattak has requested the country’s philanthropists to donate medical supplies — including medical gowns, sanitisers and face masks — for the clinical staff operating in the city’s quarantine and isolation units built to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to news sources.

The DC said that over a thousand workers were helping the quarantined pilgrims in various shifts, and that he was proud of their spirit and their service. He asked the affluent section of the community to step forward and donate supplies for these workers and food for the quarantined. He also said that the people should also take into account the labourers who work for daily wages and are affected by the lockdown in the province — implemented in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DC said that the donors can contact the additional deputy commissioner at 0619200049 to help the government succeed in coronavirus prevention.
