The MoU was signed by LDA Director General Muhammad Usman Moazzam and Restore CEO Bilal Ahmed Chaudhary. According to the agreement, LDA will not provide funds or its resources to set up the Miyawaki Forest in Liberty. Restore, on the other hand, will complete the project within four weeks by using its own funds and won’t be making any demands regarding additional facilities as compensation from the development authority.

Under this project, Restore will plant a total of 5,600 saplings of local flora species on an area spanning 21,000 square feet. While the project is set to feature walkways for pedestrians, the main purpose behind this urban forest will be to improve Lahore’s air quality and help reduce pollution in the city.
