Peshawar: The Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to boost the commercial and economic relations between the two countries, according to a news article published on July 16.

The said agreement was signed by SCCI President Sherbaz Bilour and UCCI President UlugBeg in Uzbekistan. As per the sources, a high-level business delegation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently visiting the Central Asian Republic.
Under the newly-signed MoU, SCCI and UCCI will join efforts to boost trade between the two countries and promote collaborations and investments between the two business communities.
President SCCI Bilour, during his address, emphasized the need for better trade ties with Central Asian Republics to help stabilize economies and create investment opportunities to provide employment opportunities. He expressed hope that the signing of agreements in several industrial sectors will lead the countries into a new era of cooperation and support.

Moreover, the SCCI president invited Uzbek business community to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to explore mutual investment opportunities and benefit from each other’s experience
