Quetta: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Gwadar Port Authority and China Communication Construction Company for the construction of the Eastbay Expressway. The estimated cost for the 19.5 kilometre long expressway is PKR 17 billion.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Pakistan Minister of State for Ports and Shipping Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal, Chinese Minister for Communication Dai Dongcang, Chinese Consular Gau Chunshi and many other senior Pakistani and Chinese officials.
Gwadar Eastbay Express way will play an important role in connecting the emerging port city with rest of the country.
