Lahore: Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Strategic Communications Organisation (SCO) for all communication and Internet of Things (IoT) related requirements for Chaharbagh Smart City, a new source reported on May 9.

Under the agreement, the SCO will provide services like laying of fibre optics, setting up command and control centres, and IoT solutions for urban excellence in the flagship residential project of RUDA. According to RUDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran, the authority has the commitment to taking initiatives based on the principles of convergence of competitiveness, innovation, technology, and sustainability.

SCO Director General Major General Muhammad Shahid, while speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, that the organisation is privileged to serve the nation by offering its services for one of the most scientifically planned riverfront cities.
