Islamabad: Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia for the feasibility report of a planned undersea pipeline project, according to a news report. This was revealed at the weekly media briefing of the Foreign Office.
This gas pipeline will involve four countries in the future, Pakistan, Russia, Iran, and India, and has been under discussion since last year. A spokesman of the Foreign Office stated that Russia was keen on developing closer ties with Pakistan, especially when it comes to energy cooperation, and this feasibility study will help figure out how the project should be realised.
