Islamabad: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is planning to construct motels for travellers, along the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor said on 13th February, 2018 that PTDC is acquiring new land to establish these motels in a bid to accommodate both domestic and foreign tourists in the region. He stressed the importance of tourism for the country’s economy and has thus asked for a cohesive strategy to be formulated for all four provinces. This, he said, would only be possible if PTDC was given access to CPEC entry and exit points.
