Karachi: The Sindh government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have agreed to collaborate for adding more electric vehicles to Peoples Bus Service fleet, a news source reported on February 10.

As per the details, the ADB will help the provincial government to procure another fleet of electric vehicles that will be included in the Peoples Bus Service. During a meeting with the ADB delegation headed by ADB Country Director Yong Ye, Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that the Peoples Bus service has been appreciated by the people as they enjoy travelling because of convenience and economical service charges. He went on to say more buses should be added for the convenience of people as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will take time to be completed.

It is important to note that the Sindh government made the first route of electric bus service operational last month. The said route operates between Karachi Airport and Seaview.
