Lahore: It has been discovered that the inner city has close to 536 illegal structures, according to a news report. The reported reason behind this is that the maps that haven’t been approved since the High Court in 2014 decided a case and disallowed construction on two plots in the inner city.
Following the advice of legal consultants, Walled City Authority stopped the approvals of all maps since then. The illegal constructions could not be stopped and have burgeoned to 536 illegal buildings in the inner city. Most of these illegal buildings are located in Rang Mahal, Shah Alam, and Masti Gate. The authority has now decided to solve the issue by consulting various other lawyers.
