Gujranwala: The government has stopped the entry of the general public to nearly 30 government institutes and departments as a precautionary measure against coronavirus, a news source reported. According to details, the Registry branch, Land record centres and municipal departments are completely closed.

Reportedly, the government – with a view to protect officials and employees – has restricted public from entering into several government offices. The move is expected to cause delays in a number of welfare projects. Furthermore, the government has also restricted the movements of its officials and staff for their protection.

Other departments closed for coronavirus prevention include Metropolitan Corporation, water and sanitation agency, Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA), Gujranwala Electric Power Company, Sui Gas, Education, Highways and district administration.
