Lahore: The government has announced its plans to establish more shelter homes in six large hospitals of Lahore, and all of the city’s divisional headquarters – as reported in a publication.
At the same time, the report announced the completion of 12 shelter homes in eight large cities of Punjab.

The facilities in the shelter homes include:
- Everyone is indiscrimantely allowed to stay at the shelter homes
- Breakfast and dinner are provided
- First aid
- Washroom and laundry facilities
Sehar and iftar will be provided during Ramazan as well.

Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar had taken active interest in the project to ensure timely completion of the shelter homes. The shelters are another part of the government’s programme to provide welfare facilities to the public.
