Official sources revealed that the decision to initiate the urban regeneration process was in line with the directions of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to identify unutilised and underutilised state lands for revenue generation.
The ministry stated that it intended to begin the said process at the Federal Government Servants Colony on Quetta’s Sariab Road with the help of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) and the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF). As per reports, the colony residents continue to face maintenance issues as well as unauthorised occupations. The authorities concerned have negotiated with the Frontier Constabulary (FC) Balochistan to take action against the unauthorised occupants.

- Handing over of the land to FGEHA and PHAF for the project’s execution
