Lahore: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Mr Mohammad Hafeez has fallen victim to a real estate scam involving Rs 30 million.
According to a news source, the cricketer had given Rs 30 million to a property dealer to purchase a commercial plot of 8 marlas in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore. But the dealer never undertook any proceedings to transfer the plot to Mr Hafeez, nor did he return the money.
The news source reported further that a complaint had been registered with the DHA and the authorities concerned, including the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), were probing the matter.
