Gujranwala: The Board of Governors has approved the establishment of a model cattle and meat market on 32 acres of land near Kunjah, according to a news source. PKR 85 million will be required to launch the project, a summary of which has been sent to the Government of Punjab.
In July 2014, 19 cattle markets in Gujranwala Division were handed over to the district government after abolishing the contractor system. A divisional model market was to be set up in Saroki near Sargodha Road, Gujrat. However, because of delays in procurement of land, the market along with a modern slaughterhouse is going to be set up on 32 acres of land near Kunjah now.
