Lahore: To facilitate the supply of food items, a plan has been set up for 25 model agriculture markets in Punjab, according to a news report. This statement has come from the Special Secretary Agriculture (Marketing) Ehsaan Bhutta. Bhutta said that fruit and vegetable markets in Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Muzaffargarh, and various other cities would be completely revamped and built into more structured, model markets.
He also said that quality cleanliness measures would be taken to ensure all health and cleanliness standards are met and that there are no illegal encroachments in these markets. A rigorous drive is being taken against encroachments, all across Punjab, by different cities’ authorities.
