Karachi: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs (MoMa) Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari held a meeting to discuss the USD 3.8 billion Karachi Coastal Comprehensive Zone (KCCDZ) development project with the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), according to a news story published on April 26.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretary Maritime Affairs Asad Rafi Chandna, Joint Secretary Maritime Affairs, and senior officials of CRBC and Ministry. During the meeting, CRBC General Manager Lyu Ming briefed the minister on the operation and importance of the project. The manager discussed the policy demands from the Pakistan government.

Federal Minister Subzwari showed keen interest in the Karachi Coastal Comprehensive Zone project as it is expected to generate job opportunities and enhance the lifestyle of locals. Moreover, the minister assured the CRBC delegation of full assistance from MoMa. He also mentioned that the project details will be forwarded to all stakeholders including Prime Minister, Chairman Karachi Port Trust (KPT), and Chief Minister Sindh in the fastest way possible.
