Quetta: Balochistan Minister for Transport Umar Khan Jamali announced that he would bring reforms to the transport sector, according to a news source. He also revealed that the process to replace old buses with new ones is underway.
He made these revelations while talking to the media and expressed his commitment to improving the sector. Jamali also added that the public would be facilitated through the uplifting of passenger coaches. The authorities have instructed the owners of these coaches to have all relevant legal documents with them and to be cooperative when they are checked.
Following these instructions, Balochistan Transport Authority (BTA) Secretary Zafar Iqbal led a crackdown against outdated passenger coaches along the Quetta-Zhob National Highway. He imposed fines on the owners of coaches with incomplete legal documents. The authorities are taking steps to improve transport along the Quetta-Karachi routes as well. The improvement of the transport sector is being undertaken to facilitate citizens.
