Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque has issued directives to complete the IT Park project soon, according to a news source. He ordered the relevant authorities to conduct the ground-breaking ceremony project at the earliest, and to ensure speedy and transparent completion.

Minister Haque made these remarks while presiding over a meeting held to review the progress of the project, which has been planned to be constructed in Chak Shazad locale of Islamabad.
He further directed the concerned officials to install solar panels no electric light poles in the parking area of the park for effective use of renewable energy. The solar panels can also be installed on the rooftop of the IT Park, he added.

During the said meeting, the minister was briefed about the engineering and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design of the park.
Moreover, the meeting was appraised that the project will be comprised on twelve storeys, self-contained buildings – a state-of-the-art facility – that will provide the enabling environment to encourage collaboration, innovation and product development.
The meeting was attended by the senior officials of the IT ministry and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
