Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin on Thursday (October 14) invited the business community and industrialists of the United States of America (USA) to invest in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Pakistan, news sources reported.

While addressing a round table conference hosted by the United States Pakistan Business Council (USPBC), he stated that recent government measures are boosting business possibilities through tax breaks. Minister Tarin iterated that the administration is fully dedicated to providing all facilities to investors through its business-friendly policies.

In a separate meeting with the Vice President of the World Bank’s South Asian Region, Hartwig Schafer, he stated that the government is committed to implementing structural reforms and expanding safety nets in order to revive the economy. According to World Bank VC Hartwig, Pakistan’s progress in economic revival is commendable, and this momentum must be maintained.
