Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem, on Tuesday, called for effective implementation of Letters of Administration and Succession Certificates Act, 2020 at the Pakistani missions abroad so that overseas Pakistanis could be facilitated – a news source reported.

Naseem was chairing a meeting to formulate plan for the purpose. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary Sohail Mehmood and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Secretary Dr Hashim Popalzai also attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the minister informed the other attendees of the meeting about the usefulness of the system that has been developed with the help of the National Database and Registration (NADRA) under Succession Certificates Act passed last year. The law allows for issuance of Succession Certificates by NADRA in case of undisputed succession and inheritance.
