Lahore: The provincial housing minister Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed has directed the relevant departments to prepare a report on land available for Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) in Lahore and other districts of Punjab, a news source reported. He gave the instructions in a meeting of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency attended by high officials of the housing and other departments.
The development of land for NPHP was also discussed at the meeting. Speaking at the meeting, the minister said that several banks, including Punjab Bank, have expressed interest in investment in NPHP.
The government authorities have been looking for appropriate location and land for NPHP in various cities of the province including Lahore. Several sites have also been under consideration for NPHP in Faisalabad.
The Federal Ministry for Housing & Works has announced that 3- and 5-marla affordable houses will be constructed under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).
