Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Industries and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar on Thursday highlighted the needs for expediated completion of the projects falling under of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to a news source published on April 1.

Reportedly, Minister Azhar chaired a meeting on ‘economic and industrial cooperation under CPEC’ at the finance division. He remarked that time is of the essence and the economic benefits of the CPEC projects completed on time will benefit both countries and contribute towards overall economic growth and development of the region.

Moreover, Minister Azhar also said economic cooperation between Pakistan and China will empower the country to boost industrial production, upgrade energy and communication infrastructure and improve regional connectivity. Ambassador Nong Rong also addressed the occasion and highlighted CPEC’s importance for Chinese firms.
