Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that mini dams will be built in South Punjab to save it from havocs of flood, reported a news source. He also stressed on the need of proper planning for effectively dealing with natural disasters.
While presiding over a meeting held to discuss security measures for Muharram, Buzdar said that Punjab Safe City project will be extended to all divisions of the province. He also approved Safe City projects for Sahiwal and DG Khan. That’s in addition to approval granted for Safe City projects in seven divisional headquarter of the province.
Buzdar also affirmed that development of unprivileged areas of Punjab is on his priority, where availability of utility services will ensured. Talking about availability of drinking water, he said that the installation of at least one filtration plant is need for every union council.
