Funds for the project will be issued to the respective DPO of the districts instead of the PSCA. The provincial government also plans to hire IT experts for conducting the monitoring task, as well as managing the control rooms.
According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Police department, the purpose behind setting up a vigilant police surveillance system is to reduce crime rates and keep a check on the law and order situation in the three districts.
