Mianwali: The provincial government has prepared a rehabilitation plan to fix the deteriorated roads and outdated sewerage system in the city, a news source reported. As per the publication, the proposal was discussed in a meeting held at the Mianwali Deputy Commissioner (DC)’s Office yesterday (January 8).

Punjab Local Government Secretary Malik Ahmed Khan, Mianwali DC Umar Sher Chatta and other officials reviewed the proposed plan. As per the estimates, the uplift plan is expected to cost PKR 1.75 billion, out of which PKR 1.25 billion will be spent on the rehabilitation of the city’s road network.

The meeting members were informed that the orders to fix the road and drainage issues in Mianwali had been issued by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar during his visit to the city on January 4. The CM especially asked the officials concerned to prepare cost estimates for the construction of the road connecting Railway Phattak with Noon Mohala along the existing railway line.
