Multan: The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) is going to buy 6,000 new transformers, poles and other materials to provide new connections in a timely manner and to upgrade the system, a news source reported. The cases on the matter have been sent to the MEPCO Board of Directors for approval.
This was decided in a procurement meeting held at MEPCO headquarters, which was attended by high-ranking officials. In the meeting, MEPCO CEO Muhammad Akram Chaudhary approved 3,000 25-KV transformers, 1,000 transformers of 50-KV, 100-KV, and 200-KV.
