Multan: The Multan Electric Power Company, during (the ongoing) Fiscal Year 2019-20, has so far recovered nearly PKR 189 billion in bills; raising its progressive recovery percentage up to 95.4% despite the ensuing coronavirus lockdown – a news source reported.

As per the instructions of MEPCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tahir Mehmood, the power company has been regularly sending bill notifications through SMS; including the meter-reading details. MEPCO has also been publishing snapshots of meter-readings in the bills issued against each monthly period.

According to details, the current fiscal year has so far seen a recovery of PKR 42.78 billion from MEPCO’s Multan Circle; PKR 14.52 billion from the DG Khan Circle; PKR 14.95 billion from the Vehari Circle; PKR 24.28 billion from the Bahawalpur Circle; PKR 25 billion from the Sahiwal Circle; PKR 20.7 billion from the Rahim Yar Khan; PKR 21.9 billion from the Muzaffargarh Circle; PKR 11.4 billion from the Bahawalnagar Circle; and PKR 14 billion from the Khanewal Circle.
