Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewed ongoing work on mega development projects which are expected to be completed soon, as per a news story. The projects were launched under Karachi Package.
During a meeting at the CM House, Shah said that work on Tipu Sultan Road, Tipu Sultan Flyover, Sunset-Gizri Boulevard Flyover and Cantt Station have been completed. However, some finishing work remains.Shah briefed the Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani to finalise all arrangements so the projects can be opened for the public soon.
The Karachi Package Project Director Niaz Soomro informed Shah that only 5% work on the construction of a U-turn at Natha Khan Bridge has been completed so far. This project costs PKR 70 million. Shah was also informed about 70% work has been completed on Drigh Road Underpass costing PKR 1.6 billion and 95% work has been completed on Submarine Chowrangi Underpass, costing PKR 2.2 billion.
