Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi On Wednesday (January 19) launched three mega development projects for Lahore aimed at solving traffic problems in the city, news sources reported.

The three mega development projects include the Shahdara multi-level flyover, Saggian Road, and Sharaqpur Road projects. The projects were launched at an event organised by the provincial government and attended by provincial dignitaries and cabinet members.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Eahi said that the cost of the Saggian and Sharaqpur Road projects is PKR 4.51 billion, while the multi-level flyover project in Shahdara is estimated to cost PKR 8.90 billion and would take up to 10 months for the construction of a 27-kanal plot of land. He also highlighted that the government is initiating other projects including the Blue Line subway train from Data Sahib to the Lahore airport.

It is important to mention that these three projects are part of the government’s PKR 20 billion infrastructure development program to solve traffic problems at the city’s entry and exit points. CM Elahi has recently launched Samanabad Underpass and Gulshan Ravi T-Junction project to solve the traffic problems in Lahore.
