Lahore: The Government of Punjab has called a meeting of Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) on December 24, reported a news source. The meeting will be presided over by Lahore Division Commissioner Dr Mujtaba Paracha.
In this meeting, matters regarding the construction of Lahore Ring Road Southern IV will be discussed, and approvals for related developments are also expected. The LRRA will also be presenting its PC-1 for the construction of Lahore Ring Road II for approval. The LRR II project, which has already approved by the provincial government, will connect Lahore, Kasur, and Sheikhupura at an estimated cost of PKR 40 billion. In this regard, an amount worth PKR 510 million have also been reserved in the PKR 30.51 billion funds issued for projects to be undertaken by National Highway Authority during the current fiscal year.

The approval for package II of LRR’s Southern Loop is also expected. The LRR Southern Loop II was inaugurated in November 2017; it connected Kamahan near Ferozepur Road with Adda Plot on Raiwind Road. While the Southern Loop III is expected to be completed in 2020; it will connect Adda Plot with Multan Road. For completing the loop, project plans for Southern Loop IV and Western Loop have also been prepared.

To keep the related developments for LRR rolling, the meeting called on December 24 will also approve the revised PC-1 for the Southern Loop.
