Quetta: The Meteorological Construction Corporation (MCC) of China on Monday transported medical supplies weighing over 11,000 pounds (including safety kits, testing kits, medicines and N95 masks) to the city — with the provisions aimed at assisting in the province-wide efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, according to news sources.

As per the publication, the supplies arrived in a C-130 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force and were received by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Vice President MCC Resource Development Corporation Private Limited (MDRL) — which is leading the Saindak Copper-Cum-Gold Project — handed over these medical supplies for Balochistan to Ataullah Langove, who holds a senior post in the provincial disaster management authority.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has also released a relief package of PKR 750 million. The package has been approved to help the deserving people who are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Reportedly, 150,000 families are expected to benefit from the initial phase of this relief campaign.
