Multan: The city administration has decided to initiate a project to beautify the historic and ancient city of Multan, according to news sources. As per the publication, the decision came in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Spokesperson and Walled City Project Chairman Nadeem Qureshi and Deputy Commissioner Amir Khattak.

Qureshi addressed the meeting and asked for sitting areas to be established alongside the wall between Pak Gate and Bloody Bastion (Khooni Gate). He said the area should be beautified by planting saplings and installing additional benches.

Moreover, He also called for an operation against encroachments and structures violating building bylaws. Reportedly, the CM’s spokesperson underlined that elimination of encroachments will reduce the traffic pressure on Alang Road. He also proposed the installation of additional water filtration plants. He stressed that the city walls, historic gates along the Alang road should be restored to former glory and called for additional plantations to add greenery to it.
