Rawalpindi: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Sunday issued orders for the revival of the Murree-Kahuta Development Authority (MDA), a news source reported.

The said body, set to be revamped as the Kohsar Development Authority (KDA), will be responsible for executing development projects in in the three tehsils of Murree, Kotli Satyan and Kahuta.
Apart from initiating development schemes, KDA will be tasked with promoting tourism, developing forest cover, and introducing other pro-environment reforms in the locations stated.
MNA (Murree) Sadaqat Abbasi, MPA (Kotli Satyan) Tasib Sati, and MPA (Kahuta) Raja Sagheer took up the matter with Punjab Chief Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar during a meeting held on Monday.

The chief secretary directed the secretary local government to address the concerns of the lawmakers with respect to the revival of the authority on an immediate basis.
