Karachi: The Malir Development Authority (MDA) has started the process to distribute the refunds of the application fee to Taiser Town applicants who were not allocated plots in its ballot, according to a news source. The MDA held Taiser Town’s Ballot on July 19 to determine 20,000 successful applicants.

As per the information available, Silk Bank has requested the applicants to get their money refunded by visiting any of its bank branches from today (August 7) onwards. For this purpose, the applicants are to bring along a photocopy of their Computerised National Identify Card (CNIC) and payment receipt issued by the MDA.
Taiser Town is a low-cost MDA project located in Scheme 45. Earlier in March this year, the MDA invited applications for 80, 120, 240 and 400 square yard residential plots in this project. For these 20,000 plots, the development authority receive a total of 176,000 applications.

To get their refundable amounts back, long queues of applicants have been reported to be present outside various branches of Silk Bank in Karachi and other cities.
