Multan: The authorities concerned have proposed a PKR 2.59 billion outlay for the Multan Development Authority (MDA) budget, a news source reported.
MDA’s finance subcommittee presented its budgetary for the (fiscal year) FY2019-20 during a meeting on Thursday. MDA office-bearers including Mahr Riaz Hussain Haraj, Muhammad Arfah, Malik Muhammad Ramzan, and Shafiqur Rehman were all present at the occasion.
MDA discards review of building layouts at one-window cell
Out of PKR 2.59 billion, the participants proposed the allocation of funds worth PKR for initiating development work in Allama Iqbal Town, and PKR 850 million for the extension of K-Block in Phase II of Fatima Jinnah Town.
Moreover, the subcommittee has proposed the allocation of non-development funds worth PKR 1,013 milion, while funds worth PKR 1,046 million have been proposed for MDA’s schemes; which include development of Fatima Jinnah Town, New Shah Shams and other housing schemes, as well as repair/extension of roads under the provincial government’s annual development programme.
MDA’s governing body will review these budgetary proposals in the next meeting.
