Multan: The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has released a tender for the dualisation of the road from Eidgah Chowk to Rasheedabad Flyover, news sources reported on April 4. A total of PKR 90 million will be spent on the construction work, while a total of 1 billion has been set aside for the land acquisition.

According to reports, the authority published a tender barely three months before the conclusion of the fiscal year (FY) 2021-22. It was also revealed that the Multan Development Authority (MDA) intends to rehabilitate and expand the road from Eidgah Chowk to Chowk Kumharanwala. The project’s cost was expected to be PKR 1.15 billion. However, the Punjab government only provided PKR 120 million, which was inadequate to begin the land purchase process.

Meanwhile, the administration has issued a PKR 90.12 million tender for the dualisation of Eidgah Chowk to Rasheedabad Flyover. The project’s tender will be opened on April 20. The authority has asked qualified organizations and firms to participate, and submit their qualifications and a history of past projects.
