Reportedly, the MDA has learnt that some landowners and developers of housing schemes have sold plots measuring 240 square feet, instead of the standard size of 270 square feet. To seek complete details on the matter, and to identify the culprits, the DG has instructed MDA Town Planning Wing to conduct a survey of all housing schemes under the MDA’s jurisdiction.

The survey findings will help identify the developers and housing schemes where the buyers were duped into buying residential plots smaller than the standard size. As per the directives issued by the MDA DG, the development authority will cancel maps of the housing schemes and developments found involved in this illegal practice.
