According to MDA Director-General (DG) Kaiser Saleem, the action will benefit the owners of the unlawfully constructed educational institutions by avoiding closure and fines. Within the new relief package, all buildings under MDA jurisdiction can have their unlawful and non-commercial educational buildings regularised for a fee. The administration has established an e-Service Centre on Mati Til Road for this purpose. Applicants can submit their applications together with the necessary documentation, a list of which is available at MDA headquarters.

In a similar development, the issue of regularisation of educational institutions has been taken up by Supreme Court in response to the Rawalpindi educational institutes’ application.
