Reports reveal that, in March, WASA made recoveries worth PKR 31.2 million against the target of PKR 50 million. The prevailing lockdown situation has slowed the recoveries process and, for the purpose, WASA Managing Director (MD) Syed Zahid Aziz directed his staff and officials to utilise all possible resources to ensure the set targets for recoveries – otherwise it would cause issues in payment of salaries and pensions.
The managing director also directed the staff to recover all the dues from businesses allowed by the government to function in the COVID-19 lockdown.
