Peshawar: The Municipal Corporation of Peshawar has decided to increase the number of building inspectors and enforcement officers for the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported a news source. Special training of these officers will begin soon.
This decision was taken to ensure maintenance of city’s outlook and curb illegal construction activities. The new inspectors and officers will be trained about exercising their job responsibilities while staying within the limit set by the Local Government Act. Additionally, they will be guided about the building bylaws and how to deal with those breaching these bylaws.
Local Councillor Board Secretory Khizar Hayat Khan said that people of Peshawar will soon witness the outcomes of increasing the number of building inspectors and enforcement officers.
