Lahore: The Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore (MCL) has directed zonal officers concerned to compile and share data of dilapidated buildings within two days, according to a new source.

The corporation has also issued an official notice to this effect.
The MCL is looking to vacate dilapidated buildings ahead of the monsoon season in a bid to avoid any untoward incident. For this purpose, the corporation has also asked the respective zonal officers to share the existing data on dilapidated structures with the authorities concerned.

The zonal officers, who have been directed to share data within two days, will conduct a survey of all ramshackle buildings situated in their designated areas. Moreover, failure to comply with these instructions will result in disciplinary action.
