MCL Administrator and Commissioner Saqib Mannan have ordered the authorities to clear all encroachments within two weeks and present a report. He directed that no concessions should be granted to public land encroachers and all resources should be used. Prior to taking stern measures against encroachments, a public information campaign will be launched to sensitize the public and traders. The administration will take traders’ organizations and unions into confidence before removing roadside vendors. However, action will be taken if directions are not followed.
