Lahore: The Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) on Tuesday auctioned the tenders for three mega-development schemes in the city, including the tender for the Shimla Pahari Chowk Restructuring Project — a news source reported.

The tenders were awarded to the firms with the lowest bids. However, the final approval on the matter will be provided by the Commissioner Lahore. The other two tenders were awarded for the Data Darbar’s security corridor’s construction and repair project, and a venture for the beautification of Lari Adda and the construction of a drain the area.

According to the details available, the tender for Shimla Pahari Chowk was awarded at PKR 47.8 million to Modern Constructions (nearly 18% lower than the estimated amount); the Data Darbar project was awarded at PKR 48.8 million to Abdullah Constructor at 20% below estimates; and the Lari Adda project was awarded at PKR 37.8 million to Abdullah Constructor also at 20% below the estimates.
The tenders have now been submitted to the Commissioner Lahore for final approval.
