The committee directed the MCI to disconnect 24 such illegal connections during its meeting at Parliament House. Member National Assembly (MNA) Raja Khurram Nawaz chaired the meeting, during which he was briefed by Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz about the scarcity of water in Sector I-10.
The meeting discussed that the farmhouses received water from the drinking water supply lines. The mayor revealed that these connections have remained functional for many years.
To this, the committee recommended that MCI should immediately cut off 24 unauthorised connections currently available to the farmhouses.

Mayor Aziz also indicated that the outages, load shedding, electrical & mechanical faults of the tubewells, and leakages along supply lines, impacted the water supply in the area. He added that the authorities concerned will be repairing the faulty tubewell within a week.
