Karachi: The Mastercard and One Network on Monday (November 8) formally entered into a strategic partnership to digitise the M-tag payment system on Motorway, news sources reported.

Under the agreement, Mastercard will provide integrated digital payment gateway infrastructure for One Network’s newly released Apple and Android smartphone apps. As per the agreement signed at Pakistan Pavillion at the Dubai Expo 2020, motorway travellers will be able to pay, recharge, and track their M-Tag accounts while travelling on the motorway. The agreement signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) – the largest toll collector in Pakistan, and One Network.

One Network is a local supply chain and intelligent transport systems provider that offers Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and Intelligent Transport System (ITS) services, as well as Telecommunication Infrastructure Services. It has collaborated with the FWO to provide digital payment solutions for toll tax collection on key roads and motorways.
