Lahore: Punjab Minister for Finance Hashim Jawan Bakht on Thursday directed for the preparation of an urban development master plan for the province in collaboration with the stakeholders during a meeting – a news source reported.
The minister was chairing a session of the Planning & Development Board to review the progress of development projects in the province.

Bakht remarked that the interest shown by the development partners in the projects initiated in Punjab was a satisfactory sign. He added that the correct and timely utilisation of funds was critical for sustaining their confidence.
The minister also directed the meeting’s participants to ensure that all available resources were used effectively for the completion of these projects.

The Energy Secretary informed the meeting that the PC-1 for the megaproject that involves the solarisation of 42,000 schools and 2218 Basic Health Units in Central and South Punjab had been prepared.
